With temperatures starting to drop substantially, it may be time for you to consider running. Dust off those sports shoes and start those warm-up exercises – getting ready for the run of your life has never been this exciting.
Research shows that at least 30 minutes of daily intensive exercise, such as running, naturally improves cardiovascular fitness, leads to a better mood, better sleep as well as better health and wellbeing overall.
Running is also a good way to clear your head from the stresses of daily life. It’s also a good excuse to fill up your Instagram feeds with your running sessions.
With Dubai having so many world-class running tracks, here are a select few locations where you can get your heart pumping :
This massive picturesque park is located at the center of Dubai. Plus, going for a run right under the nose of the Dubai Frame is one of a kind experience.
The running track at the park provides a beautiful view of not only, the lush trees at the park, but also the high rise buildings of Sheikh Zayed Road.
The running track circling around the park is a breezy 2.5 KM stretch, perfect for a mid-range run. Dotted along the sides of the track, are free fitness equipment that you can avail of as well. The plus point of this track is its well lit and envelopes the park.
Parking is also a breeze with ample spots around the park.
Dubai Marina Promenade
The walkway around Dubai Marina is an 8 km path hugging the marina and dotted with restaurants. It takes a full loop of the actual Marina area. It’s a lively area with families, kids, and tourists all around. It gets busy during the weekend but the famous fountains are a nice touch to the area.
This walkway is the best way to experience the Dubai Marina. Tall skyscrapers line up the path on one side and beautiful yachts on the other. Plus, there is the charming Marina Mall which you can visit after your run for a quick bite.
It’s best to wake up early and do a morning run here as evenings can get busy with people.
Palm Jumeirah Crescent
Let’s face it, there is nothing like running at the Palm.
Just the feeling of placing your feet on this manmade island is something else. This wonderful track circling the palm is around 11 KM. This track, known as the Crescent, is on the outer rim of the Palm. It passes along many glitzy 5 star hotels and it’s a spacious 6-meter wide track, that means there’s enough space for everyone.
Running along this track – you have a great vantage point to view the Marina, JBR, and SZR on one side and the Arabian Gulf on the other.
There’s nothing else like it out there!

Dubai Creek Park
One of the oldest parks in Dubai, this classic and airy walking track is located inside the pristine park. This park is reminiscent of Old Dubai.
In fact, the park its nestled between Bur Dubai and Deira and a run throughout the park is visually stimulating in between the trees and plants.
Paying the entry fee of AED 5 is absolutely worth it to be able to explore this vibrant slice of nature.
A faithful among Dubai residents and our personal favorite, this running track is something of a marvel itself. This rubberized track starts from the Dubai Marine Beach resort all the way till Burj Al Arab and stretches to around 14 KM.
In terms of facilities – it’s well lit throughout via sustainable lighting. There are changing rooms and lavatories along the way as well as interesting food outlets that pepper the track.
Parking is a non-issue as the long track is accessible from six residential areas and there are multiple rest stops along the way as well.
