It is a fact that Dubai is known for throwing one of the biggest parties and celebrations in the world. And the New Year’s Eve is just one them. We understand that you are trying to go on a budget to prepare yourself for VAT that’ll be in effect when the clock strikes midnight.
But, there are many places where you can celebrate the New Years in Dubai without strain on your budget. Here are a few examples:
Witness an official Guinness World Records title attempt with Burj Khalifa‘s light show that will replace the usual fireworks. We seriously advise you to go there very early to secure a spot with a perfect view.
You can enjoy a bit of shopping with a great view of Burj Khalifa’s light show at midnight. Here’s another treat; Lebanese pop star Diana Haddad will throw a free concert in City Walk!
Dubai Festival City Mall
Burj Khalifa might not have fireworks but, worry not! there are multiple hotspots that will such as The Dubai Festival City Mall which announced multiple firework shows alongside live music.
Although ticket price is AED 15, Global village is a place where you can celebrate New Years with other countries without actually traveling there. Seven fireworks shows are scheduled to celebrate New Years when the clock strikes midnight in The Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, UAE, and Turkey.
Atlantis The Palm
Although Meraas announced that there will be no fireworks at Jumeirah Beach Residence, if your place has a view of the Palm Jumeirah, then you’re in for a treat! You can witness “the most spectacular fireworks display you’ll ever see at the most spectacular new year’s eve celebrations in Dubai” according to the Atlantis the Palm.
If you are not planning to go to these places early, you can carpool with family and friends to get stuck traffic together. You can also check out our stuck-in-traffic-playlist. Or, even better, you can find your next home in these areas so you can enjoy an amazing view!
