The Geneva Motor Show is a real treat for motorheads because every year it proves to be one of the most dazzling motor shows around the globe, and this year is no different with many debuts and wild concepts.
We handpicked the following 5 cars from the motor show that we think are game changers in the motors industry.
This concept hypercar is all about numbers, an astonishing 1,914 horsepower, 0-100km/h in just 1.85 seconds, and a top speed of 415 km/h. This electrifying concept car is powered by four electric motors and it is capable of 250-kW charging which can resupply up to 80 percent of its driving range in under 30 minutes! The C_Two is also loaded with the latest technology like six radar units, eight cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Rimac is planning to build only 150 of this electric beast, let’s hope we see one of them in Dubai!
Hyundai Le Fil Rouge
Inspired by the 1974 concept coupe, “The common thread” is a concept car by Hyundai that shapes the future designs of all the new Hyundai cars as elements from “The common thread” will be used. Not a lot of details were revealed about the exterior but the inside looks futuristic mixed with a generous use of wood that stretches throughout the cabin and with the glass roof, the cabin looks more spacious.
BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe
We are still drooling over this performance version of the 8 series! The M8 is the sportier alternative to the 5 and 7 Series and just like the other Gran Coupe models, the M8 Gran Coupe is a sleek four-door coupe. Not much was mentioned about the performance but it is possible that it’ll have a turbocharged V8 and probably the 600 horsepower 4.4 liters from the new F90 BMW M5.
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Four-Door Coupe
Mercedes-Benz unveiled an AMG GT Four-Door Coupe which combines sophisticated design and cutting-edge technology making it a perfect rival for the Porsche Panamera. The car comes in three versions, a “base”, the AMG GT 53 (six-cylinder petrol engine and mild hybrid system that produces 429 horsepower and a 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds) a GT 63 (AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and puts out 577 horsepower, with a 0 to 100 km/h at 3.3 seconds), and GT 63 (630 horsepower, while 0 to 100 km/h time is just 3.1 seconds)
Aston Martin Lagonda Vision Concept
This fully electric ultra-luxurious limo is Aston Martin’s new Lagonda Vision Concept that is set to compete in the luxury car market with the likes of Bentley and Rolls Royce. What makes this car very special is the fact that it will go 640 km on a single charge. Lagonda is aiming to become the world’s first zero-emissions luxury brand as Aston Martin is planning to launch the bonnet-less engine-less limo in 2023.
